About
I am a Lecturer in Applied Ethics at the IDEA Centre in the University of Leeds. My research is mainly in the area of the philosophy of sex and love. I teach courses in medical ethics and in the ethics of loving relationships. I am also on the Executive Committee of the Society for Applied Philosophy. Before working at Leeds I had some time out of academia and worked as a school teacher and at the Civil Service. I completed my PhD in Philosophy in 2014 at the University of Sheffield. When I'm not working, I'm mainly spending time with my daughter, but I also enjoy trips away, time with friends and family, reading, running, and (generally bad) attempts at various hobbies.
